When you do it unto the least of these...

God just keeps putting people in my path. Today He did it again as I was walking downtown. Maybe there is something to be said for walking. I know that when I am walking I have a better chance of talking with people, now that is profound.

I saw a guy pan handling and stopped to chat. I always ask people if they are hungry and if they want me to buy them a meal. If they say no just give me money, it is a good indication that they only want the money for something other than their hunger for food. In this case he was hungry and took me up on my offer.

I took him to Trinitea's Cup and he decided to purchase a couple of Pizza Dogs. It is amazing how much you can find out about a person when you meet their physical needs. I learned lots about him and how he has found himself living on the street and begging for food. I really felt for this kid as there are some serious mental health issues at work.

I tried to encourage him and found out that he was in need of clothes. I let him know that I would help him out and get some clothes to him. Once again I am reminded of the scripture where Jesus shared "when you do it unto the least of these you do it unto me." Wow isn't that powerful! When we bless those in need Christ says it is like clothing Him!

I love being His hands and feet. I love you who support this ministry with your prayers and resources. Every day I am reminded how we need a place for these hurting and precious souls to move in to. Until that time we need to keep on loving them for Jesus in the manner he has provided!
