What does ministry look like?

Have you ever really thought about what ministry looks like? I wonder sometimes if we put ministry in a box and think that there is the only way that ministry happens. I am a pastor in a church and I love that type of ministry. I love spending time discipling teens and young adults. I love reaching out to the teens that are invited to our church by some of our teens. It is good!

I am a big supporter of parachurch ministries. Parachurch ministries are ones that take part outside of the work of the local church. I would venture to say, though I cant say for certain, that more people are ministered to outside of the church than inside it. Parachurch ministries like Boaz and my other ministry Christian Outreach International are more interested in going out and ministering to people outside the church walls.

I want to be sure and let you know about another outstanding ministry location here in our city. I want to make you aware of it because it is making a huge impact in our city. My good friends Lynn and Patrick operate Triniteas Cup, a ministry that reaches out to people in a Christian environment. Triniteas is not a cafe that does ministry. It is a place of ministry that serves lots of great food and non alcoholic beverages.

I personally spend a lot of time at Triniteas. I do so because I want to support this ministry with my money. It is not easy to be a Christian ministry some days. It can be discouraging. They work long hours and have many folks that they minister to, it is a labor of love for them. Make no mistake it is part of their calling to minister to people in need of someone to talk with. They are passionate about this calling.

I want to encourage you to come and spend some time getting to know these missionaries who are living by faith. I want to encourage you to swing by and spend some of your resources and bless this couple and their ministry. They are located at the bottom of Regent St. between King and Queen.

I often here people say that they want to make a difference in peoples lives. Well this is one of those opportunities. We need to support those who labor for Him. They are reaching people right here in Fredericton.

I hope to see you there really soon.
