It is nice to go away and do ministry but it is twice as good to be at home. It is going to be great to be able to sleep in my own bed and sit in my own chair. I was also excited to be back with my youth ministry teens tonight. It was amazing to walk in the church and see 17 kids excited to be there.


My trip to NFLD was a great blessing to both those we served and myself. I loved my time there and I am grateful for the 125+ folks we were able to spend time with and pray for. I will always cherish some of those "God ordained conversations." I enjoyed working with the SP staff as well as my fellow chaplain Jack Allen.


Jack and I worked so well together. Jack is a 68 year old semi retired baptist minister that has a tremendous passion for people. He knows how to ask questions that help people feel so at ease. He has a heart for prayer and to see people find healing in their lives. As we drove home today I talked about how it seemed we had known each other for a long time. In reality we have only met together for a few days at the Olympics and now for 10 days.
