He was asked by doctors how he was able to stay alive, and his response was, "everyday a man in a white coat came by and gave me water". I don't know if he is hallucinating or not, and to most people this would seem improbable, but is it?
My first thought was that he was kept alive by an angel. If it were really a "man" in a white coat why didn't that person go for help or start digging. If he was that close to the surface that someone could give him a cup of water, why didn't they pull him out. So I don't think it was an ordinary man.
There is a scripture in God's word about angels and how they come and serve as God's representatives. We read in Matt 4:11 that angels came and attended to Christ after his forty day fast. In 1 Kings 19:6-8 we read that an angel came and fed and provided drink to Elijah during a time of incredible weakness.
I certainly do not know what took place during this mans 28 days of confinement. The fact that he is alive is certainly a miracle. Can I explain what happened scientifically, no I can't. Can I believe God could send an angel to provide, I sure can.
Why is this important? Why even have this discussion? I believe it is so important that we see God in relation to all of our challenges. God still does miracles. He heals the sick, makes the lame to walk, even brings the dead back to life. We serve a powerful God, nothing is impossible for Him.
