Group on Facebook

I am now the administrator for group started on facebook. The name of the group is"Lets put a stop to bullies." I decided yesterday morning to send out an email to all the group members asking them to tell their experiences with bullies. As of yesterday we had a group of 59 members.

Let me share the things that were written. I will not add the peoples names in order to protect their privacy.

One young man wrote this: i joined because when i was in elementary and middle school my classmates bullied me and made fun of me because of what i did, i like video games, and my classmates made fun of me and beat me up saying no one likes me, but here in high school, ive made many friends who accept me for who i am.

At the beginning of my high school year, my classmates accepted me and they didnt bully me, i used to live in the states, now i live in canada. i had to deal with verbal physical, and blackmail from my classmates. i would tell a teen if they were bullied, tell the teacher no matter the cost, or hope for a better future like i did. thank you.

I am glad that I have been able to open up a dialogue with this teen. I think he represents how many children and teens either feel or have felt.
