I had the opportunity to pray with a teen from my youth ministry this morning and she gave her heart to Christ. It has been almost a one year journey for Samm to come to the place where she was ready to ask Christ into her life and forgive her of her sins.
It was incredible. She has been having great conversations with other girls in our youth ministry and asking lots of questions. God was preparing her heart for this moment and she was ready. I was reading her blog and this is what she wrote on her blog on Monday the 21st, "Four days 'til Christmas! This year it's going to be a little different for me I think, because now I actually know that there is a God and Jesus really did exist and that's what this holiday is about. It'll put the day into a new light, you know?
Isn't that beautiful. I love it. This young lady finally has an understanding of what Christmas is really all about. If I don't receive anything else for Christmas this year I am blessed.
Brothers ands sisters we need to invest time with others, others who are not Christians. I love that two girls in our youth ministry prayed for Samm and shared their faith with her as well as their lives. They have become very close friends. Now these two girls are even stronger in their faith as a result of seeing God answer their prayers.
There is a God and Jesus really did exist. That is what this holiday is all about.
