I met a gentleman last week who really challenged me in this area. He talked about how his ministry has grown as a result of deeply committed prayer. He also shared that in order to be a part of his ministry all his leaders need to be committed to focus on prayer. I have not been near as faithful as I need to be and that needs to change.
I know it makes a difference and you do too. Since we know it makes such a difference then why is it so hard to be consistent? I think that when I neglect my prayer time, I am saying that I can do things and I don't really need God's help. I know different BUT my attitude says something else.
This morning when I woke up I made a determined effort to put Him first and spend quality time with Him. When I got to the church this morning I took the time to pray for every teen in my youth group by name. I know I need to be doing this regularly and I have not been an effective pray-er.
If you struggle with this sometimes as I do, I wan't to encourage you to reconnect with the power source. We really can't do things without His help!!! Oh and we also have much to thank him for!!!
