God is at work! He is clearly at work!
I am so amazed to see what God is doing all around us. At our recent board meeting we voted to take a step of faith and bring on two amazing young adults as faith missionaries with Boaz. Both folks have a great heart for the group of teens we are focused on. Let me introduce them to you.
Jenna Novak has been working with Boaz for the last six weeks through her school placement. Jenna has been doing some powerful ministry with many of the teens that come our way. She has a special place in her heart for teens dealing with issues of addiction.
Drew Wallace has been travelling the last few years with the band "Atlantic". Drew is a talented musician and artist with a big heart for young adults and at risk teens. He has a huge passion to see the body of Christ come to life and get involved in making a difference in the lives of hurting people.
We welcome both of these folks to the Boaz family!
Today I met with another young lady who shared her heart for ministry and specifically what God has been speaking to her about. She shared that God has been speaking to her about reaching out to hurting teens, feeding them, loving them and helping them get into housing. Sounds like Boaz ministry. I have known this young lady for a few months now and know she has a solid heart for Christ and for reaching people. I hope to be able to introduce her to you shortly as well.
When I started this ministry I knew that God would need to raise up powerful men and women of God in order for us to go forward. I can see His hand at work as He raises up His people for this ministry. God is knitting together this first class group of people.
Powerful days are ahead for this ministry. We look forward to His provision as we step forward in faith.
Welcome to our ministry

Graduation
Graduation is one of those nights that stand out in a persons life. It stands out for a couple of reasons. One of those reasons is the sense of accomplishing something that has been a dozen years in the making. The second is the marking of transition from a high schooler to either university or more full time work. It also means seeing friends you have seen for years a whole lot less now.
Completing of high school for some teens is not as difficult as it is for others. When a person is faced with the added pressure to provide for themselves, work a 32-40 hour week while attending school, and has no parent on their side to encourage them, well you can imagine the difficulty. You have to be an exceptional person to do that.
Karen is that kind of gal. She has persevered and through it all, Karen is a 2011 graduate, She looked beautiful and confident as she walked across that platform to receive her diploma. I had tears in my eyes as I thought about all she has overcome and what a great example she is to her siblings.
I am so thrilled for her and was honored to be able to attend her special night at her invitation. I was so glad to be able to meet her as she walked off that stage and give her a huge hug and tell her how proud I was of her. I am so glad to be a part of her life!
Being a "father to the fatherless" is an honor. Thank you my daughter for your hard work. I continue to believe in you! God has great things in store for you!
